Rivals The Citadel and Charleston Southern Announce Lowcountry Boil Bowl

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel and Charleston Southern announced Wednesday morning that the schools’ football teams will establish an official label for the long-standing rivalry between the two Charleston-based programs: The Lowcountry Boil Bowl. The inaugural contest has already been slated for Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024 at Buccaneer Field, kickoff set for 6 p.m. Notably, the annual contest will feature the programs squaring off for a trophy filled to the brim with Lowcountry Boil, reinforcing the victory as both the hardware and seafood feast are presented to the victor following the conclusion of the game.
